ANSRWARE Solutions - Travelways

A travelway is a publicly used path or corridor for movement of vehicles, goods, and/or people.  A travelway can be a road (state highway or local road, planned, under construction, or open), bike path, waterway or railway.  Travelways in TEAMS includes roads and railroads.

The Travelway Management System  provides for the maintenance of roadway inventory items such as lane type, lane width, shoulder data, and surface information, alongside the ability to maintain complete and detailed classification and typing  information for Travelways including:

  • Functional Class
  • NHS
  • Strahnet
  • Roadway Type
  • Urban/Rural
  • City Limits
  • County Boundaries
  • Planning Organizations
  • Speed Limits

The Travelway Management System provides the tools, via standard web based browsers which honor your organizations security infrastructure, for users to add, remove and update Highway Performance Management System (HPMS) sample sections, universe sections and other HPMS specific data.  Business rules help validate changes to the HPMS in real time, in order to support ad-hoc and annual reporting requirements via automatic HPMS report generation.  Authorized users may perform tabular and map based reviews of the data including sample sections.
Many types of information traditionally ‘imported’ to support the HPMS reporting is automatically available to HPMS and other system editors, due to the availability of enterprise data and its relation to the LRS.

HPMS Federal Reporting Submittal requirements are met using the automating reporting tool built in to Travelways Management Systems.  Many other ‘canned’ reports, as well as ad-hoc reports are also available.
